Hi,

We had talked a couple of months ago about a feature you were planning to add, importing Yojimbo's database.

Anything new on that side?

I can't wait to switch to Together...

thanks, olivier

Yeah, I know what you mean. I could theoretically bring in someone else to help me in my one-man shop as well, but then I'd have to manage them, QC their work, etc etc...

Zac, with the right person, the benefits could be great, but the trouble is money. There are peaks and troughs, but averaged out I only make enough for one person, sometimes not even that. Theoretically, bringing that right person in could free me up and potentially make more for the business, but finding someone suitable and daring enough to take that chance is pretty difficult.

Now I've made some adjustments to the way I handle things like support, for example, things will get moving again. If experience is anything to go by, the insanity will dissipate after I get Together version 2.1 out, so now it's just a matter of getting there!

Count me as a very enthusiastic new user.

I understand that coding and testing takes a long time, and that there is only so much one person can do. As an individual developer, what are the benefits of continuing to go it alone versus, at some point, hiring someone to help you?
