Library

  • Improved user interface provides more space in the main window.
  • Redesigned item preview shows more content and icons for enclosures.
  • Info drawer is now split into three sections: Standard, Extensions and Settings, to help distinguish what is in the feed from Feeder's own settings.

Feed Editing

  • Feed images can now be uploaded and previewed in the Info drawer. Feeder will resize and convert images to the correct format when publishing.
  • A feed image's link is now validated to be the same as the feed's link to match the RSS specification.
  • Feeder now supports multiple stylesheets.

Item Editing

  • Added syntax colouring for HTML in the Description field.
  • Added recent items for the Insert Image and Insert Link panels.
  • Now shows icon for enclosure upload files.
  • An enclosure upload's server can now be set in the edit window itself.
  • Improved HTML text conversion for iTunes Summary and Subtitle fields.
  • Added the ability to create a new item with an enclosure by dragging a file onto the item list.

Podcasting

  • Feeder can now add tags to podcast media files such as artwork, artist name, etc. Supported formats include, MP3s, M4As, M4Vs (iPod video), MOV (QuickTime) and MP4 videos.
  • iTunes section of the Info drawer now allows artwork to be uploaded and shows a preview. Artwork can be cropped, resized and converted to the correct image format when published.
  • Added "iTunes Information" section to the Info drawer for tags that do not appear in the iTunes Music Store.
  • iTunes preview now shows a more accurate summary in the listing and Info windows
  • iTunes preview now shows PDF / video icons in the episode list as appropriate.
  • Added a New Podcast command to create a new podcast with iTunes tags including the ability to preview or upload artwork.
  • Improved iTunes tags validation.

Publishing

  • Feeder can now ping online services to notify them of updates after publishing. Each feed can have its own set of services to ping, set in the Settings section of the Info drawer.
  • Simplified publishing setup.
  • Preview URL now shown when editing publishing settings.
  • Feeds can now have default servers for uploading enclosures and images.
  • Default servers and settings for all uploads can now be overidden on an individual basis.
  • Upload Settings panel now shows a preview of the uploaded file's URL.
  • Feeder now keeps track of upload files so they can be moved or renamed on disk.
  • Improved server browser can now create folders and properly navigate below the user's home directory.
  • The Servers window now lists all kinds of servers, not just FTP / SFTP.
  • Servers can have default paths for feeds, enclosures and images.
  • Servers in the Servers window can now be duplicated using the Edit menu.

  • Rewritten Help files.
  • Many other minor fixes and improvements.
