Keep It can create and edit notes, rich text, plain text and Markdown files, scan documents, edit PDFs, archive emails, save web links in a variety of formats, preview and search just about any kind of file, and organise these in a variety of ways. All the files, folders and tags you store in Keep It are available in the Finder, and can be shared with other Keep It users via iCloud.

Notes, Documents and Everything Else
Notes
Create notes with built-in and customizable styles that look good and read well on all your devices. Notes can contain highlights, checklists, bulleted and numbered lists, links, dividers, images, and other attachments.
Text Files
Create and edit rich text, plain text and Markdown files directly in Keep It, and use stationery to create templates of these, or any kind of file.
Web Links
Save web links to Keep It, including as PDFs or web archives for offline reading, including in a minimal format that preserves only what is important.
Documents and More
Scan documents, add photos, and save any kind of file to Keep It’s library. As well as work with notes, text files and web pages, Keep It can edit PDFs, rotate images, play movies, and preview everything else with Quick Look.
Works With Your Mac
Finder Integration
Keep It stores everything you add as files, folders and tags that you can manage in the Finder, and in all Open and Save panels, making them available to any other app on your system. This also means the files you add to Keep It can be searched with Spotlight, and backed up with Time Machine.
Compact Mode
In Compact Mode, Keep It for Mac becomes a single column you navigate with clicks and swipes — ideal for using alongside other apps, or in split screen, while providing all the same features.
Mail Integration
Keep It can view, search and work with mail messages and their attachments, provides downloadable scripts for sending messages to Keep It via Mail's rules, and an Automator workflow for quickly adding selected messages to Keep It.
Works with Other Apps
Pretty much anything can be dragged to Keep It, and you can also add text, links, and files from a variety of apps with Keep It’s share extension or the Services menu. Tasks in Keep It can be automated with AppleScript, Automator and the Shortcuts app.
Organize
Folders
Folders let you organize items and bundles hierarchically, when needed. Select a folder to see everything it contains, double-click to focus the sidebar on that folder.
Tags
Keep It allows you to add tags to items when importing, when working in the items list, and when viewing items. Keep It’s tags integrate with Finder tags, and are therefore available to all other apps.
Quick File
Quickly file items in Keep It with Quick File, which allows you search, select, and create any folder or bundle with a keyboard-friendly interface.
Labels
Use labels to color-code items for quick visual recognition. Labels are listed in the sidebar so you can quickly see everything with a particular label.
Bundles
When you need to gather things into one place, make a bundle. Items can be in more than one bundle at a time, and when you remove the bundle, everything else stays where it was.
More List Features
Any list in Keep It can be added to the Favorites Bar, and any folder or bundle can be color-coded for easy recognition. All lists can have their own sort settings.
Search and Filter
Search
Keep It can search the content of most files, recognizes text in scanned PDFs and images, and prominent features in images. While searching, suggestions appear as you type, allowing you to create complex queries that narrow the results to exactly what you need.
Saved Searches
Any search can be saved to the sidebar for reuse, and you can create new saved searches without needing to start in the search field. Saved searches can either target the whole library or a specific list, and can be nested in the folders they target.
So Meta
All the metadata in Keep It can be searched: name, kind, dates, size, tags, comments, source, content, highlights, checklists, and attachments.
Tag Filter
Keep It’s Tag Filter makes finding items by their tags easy, and works with search and the selected list. Choose a tag to see all the tagged items and any other relevant tags; choose another tag to drill down further.
Quick Open
When you need to jump to something quickly, use Quick Open, which lets you open or navigate to any item or list, just by typing its name.
Recents, Favorites and More
Use Recents to see the most recently added, viewed or modified items. The Favorites list shows all favorite items, and the Unfiled list lets you see everything that hasn't been stored in a folder or bundle. Set any top-level folder as a Default Import Destination for things you want to file later.
iCloud
Working Across Your Devices
Keep It can store everything in iCloud and make it available across all your Macs, and your iPad and iPhone too, with Keep It for iPad and iPhone.
Sharing Folders and Items
Keep It can share top-level folders and individual items with other Keep It users via iCloud.
