Tags
- Intelligent automatic tagging - items can be automatically tagged according to their content, based on previously tagged items.
- Added the option to show items with any or all selected tags in the Tag Browser to the View Options panel.
- Tags can now be organized into bundles.
- System tags are now shown in their own bundles.
- Folders and groups in the tag browser are now shown hierarchically.
- New Change Tags panel allows tags to be added or removed from the selected items or all items in the selected group. Replaces the Add Tags panel.
- Added a Tags preferences panel for choosing which items are tagged and the maximum number of tags to add.
Groups
- Groups and smart groups can now be nested in folders.
- New groups can be created from the currently selected items by choosing New Group from the Item > Send to Group menu.
- Items can be moved to folders or added to groups using the Item > Send to Group menu.
- The groups outline is now more compact when using large icons.
- Added a Clear Recent Items menu item to the File menu.
- Group icons have been improved for better contrast when selected.
Items
- Added a new Web Page type for web archives, web PDFs, PDFs printed by web browsers, etc.
- File creation and modification dates can now be edited by clicking the dates in the Info view.
- Item names can now be edited when an appropriate new item (such as a note) is created. This can be set in General preferences.
- PDFs that Together identifies incorrectly as Documents or Web Pages can be dragged to the appropriate standard group for reclassification.
- Improved memory usage for icon previews.
Tabs
- Tabs can now be rearranged by dragging them.
- Tabs now scroll horizontally, rather than show an overflow indicator.
- Tabs can be made active by dragging to them.
- Tabs now have contextual menus.
Previews
- Minimum dimensions can now be set for web PDFs when using File > New Web PDF.
- Default minimum dimensions for web PDFs can be set in Preview preferences.
- When saving web archives and bookmarks as different formats, Together now preserve the original's label, tags, comments, etc.
- Added the ability to zoom notes and text documents.
- Default zoom percentage for notes and text documents can be set in Previews preferences.
- Added an Actual Size zoom button for PDFs and improved the appearance of the other PDF zoom buttons.
- Together now shows a warning when opening more than 10 items at once in tabs or in their original applications.
Imports
- Together now waits for third party applications to complete copying file promises before importing the files.
- Added a workaround for a problem where Apple Mail could silently overwrite messages with the same subject when importing.
- Untitled folders will not be automatically imported until they are named.
- When importing into the library, rather than a folder, and an exact duplicate is found, Together no longer shows asks whether to create a copy, instead behaves as though the file were being dragged to a folder.
- Added an import hot key script for the Vienna newsreader.
Shelf
- The Shelf no longer closes automatically when showing a Quick Note or when import options are displayed and another window is activated.
- The name for single item imports can now be specified in import options.
- Added a Find in the Shelf hot key, which can be set in Shelf preferences.
- Together returns to the previous application after Import options are used.
General
- Faster loading of large libraries.
- When launching Together by double-clicking a library file that wasn't the last one used, Together will now open that library immediately.
- Updated Yojimbo Importer.
- Updated AppleScript dictionary for new Web Page item type and editable dates.
Fixes
- Changed Copy Item Link shortcut to prevent a clash with Format > Font > Copy Style when the cursor was placed in a text view.
- Fixed a problem where converting a bookmark to a web archive or vice versa when the original item is stored in a folder would fail.
- Fixed a problem where auto-imported files were not indexed.
- Fixed a problem where Together would encode the entered URL string with percent escapes in the New Bookmark / Web PDF / Web Archive panel.
