- Create folders or bundles in the Share extension or import view
- Convert individual Markdown, rich text, plain text, and mail messages files to notes

- Improvements to Compact Mode, saving existing web links, and more
Lists
- Duplicate folders, bundles and saved searches in the sidebar by choosing File > Duplicate from the menu.
- On macOS Ventura, adding people to folders for the first time now shows the sharing picker in a popover.
- Fixed issues when moving the focused folder or its subfolders to Deleted Items.
Items
- It’s now possible to use Quick File or the menus to move an item to a folder where another item with the same name exists — you will be offered to keep both or replace, as when dragging items to folders in the sidebar.
- No Items Found is now shown in the preview area when searching and there are no results.
- Items opened in editing windows can now be duplicated by choosing File > Duplicate from the menu.
Notes
- Multiple items can now be merged into a single note by choosing Item > Merge into Note from the menu. Notes, rich text, plain text, HTML, Markdown files and email messages will become text in the note (with Markdown files formatted with the current Keep It note styles), PDFs, images and movies will be shown as inline attachments, web links as clickable text, and all other files as attachments. When merging you can set the order items should appear, whether to separate each item with a divider, and whether to move the originals to Deleted Items (which can be undone).
- Any item can now either be converted to a note, or an attachment on a note by choosing Item > Convert to Note from the menu. Editable text items such as rich text, plain text, and Markdown files will be converted to notes, along with mail messages and web pages that can be shown in Reader mode, while all other files will be converted to an attachment on a note.
- When choosing Convert Text Files to Notes from the Keep It > Library menu, you can now choose whether to include Word and Markdown files.
- The link color and underline settings for notes are now shown in Notes settings, rather than the note style editor.
- When editing a sketch and “Always Show as Light Content” is enabled, the sketch editor will now have a light appearance too.
Imports
- Use the search field in the Share extension or Import View to find a destination group or item. Click or use the up / down arrow keys and Return to select a result.
- Create a folder or bundle when using the Share extension or Import view by clicking on the list pop-up and choosing from the New List submenu.
- When adding text via the Share extension or Import view, tabbing from the text will go to the tags field. Hold on the Option key and press the tab key to insert a tab instead.
- When importing, Keep It can now convert Word and Markdown files to notes, if desired. To set that as the default Keep It > Settings from the menu (or Preferences on macOS 12), click Import, set the Text Files pop-up to “Convert to notes” and click the (…) button to choose whether to include Word and Markdown files as formats to be converted.
- Dragging files, images, text and links to the library window title bar will import them into the current list.
Notes & Rich Text Documents
- When removing formatting, links are now preserved.
Web Links
- When choosing to save an existing web link as a web archive or PDF, what is shown on screen will be saved, instead of the page being loaded again.

- Keep It 2.2 requires macOS 12.0 or later.
