- Exclude files from Auto Import with flexible rules.
- Improvements to labels, search, item list.
- New medium size for the portrait list.
iCloud Update (Mac App Store version only)
- iCloud library sharing has been completely rewritten to be faster and more reliable. Together now has control of the process, whereas previously it was handled by iCloud Drive.
- iCloud libraries can now be stored in regular folders, just like local libraries, rather than iCloud Drive.
- Linked files can now be used with iCloud libraries. These will be linked on the original Mac, but stored in the library on other Macs and iOS devices.
- When you open an iCloud Drive library, you will be offered to upgrade. This requires all the files are moved from iCloud Drive and uploaded again. You can postpone this until a convenient time. Support for iCloud Drive libraries will be removed in a future version.
- Progress for iCloud activity is shown next to All Items in the sidebar, and for individual files in the list when they’re downloading. See all activity by choosing Window > Activity from the menu or clicking the progress indicator in the sidebar.
- To store a library in iCloud, switch on the “Store in iCloud” checkbox when creating a new library, or choose File > Library > Store in iCloud from the menu for an existing local library.
- To remove a library from iCloud, choose File > Library > Remove from iCloud from the menu. Other Macs with the library open this will be able to keep the libraries locally, but no longer share changes with iCloud. iOS devices will no longer be able to access the library.
- Files in iCloud libraries cannot be larger than 250MB. Together will check all files are below this limit before storing a library in iCloud and will not import or auto-import larger files.
Libraries
- The Choose Library and Manage Libraries panels now show a graphical path below the library name.
- The Manage Libraries panel is no longer modal, so you can now perform a number of operations without closing the panel.
- It’s now possible to rename libraries by choosing File > Library > Rename Library from the menu. Both local and iCloud libraries can be renamed, but not iCloud Drive libraries.
Auto Import
- Auto Import now has its own preferences panel.
- You can now exclude files from automatic imports using rules such as “Starts with”, “Contains”, certain file extensions, etc. Together already ignores hidden files and a number of well-known temporary and autosave filenames.
Items
- Swipe left to delete items in the portrait list. You can move items to the Trash and remove items from groups, favorites, tags, ratings, and labels depending on what’s selected in the sidebar. Swiping all the way performs the least destructive action.
- Portrait list now has a medium size. Set it in View Options.
- Added a Show In [group] submenu to the Items and contextual menus to show the selected item in the specified group or folder.
- When removing an item with a folder selected, the alert now gives the option to remove the item from the folder and keep it in the library (this is the equivalent of dragging to the All Items group).
- In landscape, the item list now shows columns other than name in a dark gray color, which matches the Finder’s list mode.
- In the landscape list, the label color is now only shown for the name, not the whole row.
- It is no longer possible to change the height of the landscape list.
Labels
- Create a label from the toolbar button and apply it to the selected items.
- Choosing Edit Label from the Labels menu or toolbar item shows the labels in the tag browser.
- The separate label editor has been removed. Labels can be edited in Tags view.

- Added an option to Advanced preferences to include the Trash when searching all groups.
