When Keep It was originally released on the App Store and Mac App Store last year, there was a discount for anyone who subscribed within the first 12 weeks, as well as a month-long trial.
That introductory pricing is now set to end, and over the next few months those who have remained subscribed since then will be offered to renew at the current prices, which have been in effect for everyone else since December 2017. In USD that’s $9.99/year or $1.49/month for iOS and $19.99/year or $2.49/month for the Mac.
If you choose not to renew your subscription, the app will stop working once your current subscription expires. You will be able export all your data using the relevant buttons on the subscription sheet, or can follow the instructions on the apps’ support pages:

Keep It for Mac is 30% off for Club MacStories members until September 28, along with a host of other apps and services, in celebration of its third anniversary.
Club MacStories is written by true enthusiasts, and stands out in an age where you can read the same press releases regurgitated on countless sites, often verbatim, but trustworthy reviews and in-depth looks at apps and technologies are rare, as the ad revenue and affiliate payments that once paid for such content dries up.
Supporting such sites is vital, not only for their survival, but for the survival of independent app developers who fill the gaps that big players simply don’t care about, and who listen to their customers and respond.
Check out all the perks of membership, and the sample issue of MacStories Weekly, on the Club MacStories web page.

Keep It 1.4.2 for iPad and iPhone now supports x-callback-urls that can be used with apps such as Drafts and Workflow (to become Shortcuts on iOS 12).
The functionality is broadly the same as using Keep It’s Share extension:
- Add a note
- Add a new item from data (e.g. an image)
- Append text or an attachment to a note
- Save a web link
It’s also possible to pass additional parameters to specify whether a web link should be saved for offline, to specify a destination folder or bundle, and tags for the created items.
Full documentation is available here, and linked on Keep It’s support pages.

There is now a dedicated Yojimbo importer for Keep It for Mac that will automate the entire process, converting Yojimbo notes, serial numbers and passwords to Keep It notes, and preserving the original format of all other items. Passwords and encrypted items can be re-encrypted as they are imported. Yojimbo collections become bundles in Keep It, tag collections become saved searches, and labels are preserved with their original colors.
The importer requires Keep It for Mac 1.4.2 or later, and Yojimbo 2.0 and later.
Keep It can already import Evernote ENEX files, Together libraries, and from files and folders, preserving the folder structure and tags, and converting text files to notes if desired.

Update: Keep It 1.6 for iPad and iPhone includes the ability to save web pages as web archives, so this workaround is now redundant.
Keep It for Mac can save web links as web archives, but due to the lack of the same built-in functionality on iOS, Keep It on iPad and iPhone cannot.
However, it is possible to save a web archive using Apple’s Workflow app (which will become Shortcuts on iOS 12).
Download the workflow here: Save Web Archive to Keep It
To use the workflow with Safari:
In Safari, tap the Share button
Tap Run Workflow
Tap Save Web Archive to Keep It
Keep It will then open and allow you to change the name, add tags, and choose a location.
