Summary

Notes
- Checklists can now be indented up to five levels in the same way as list items. To indent, swipe (when not editing), or tap the checklist button above the keyboard and choose Increase Indent. If using a hardware keyboard, press Tab at the start of a checklist line, or Option-tab anywhere on the line. To decrease the indent with a hardware keyboard, press Shift-Tab anywhere on the line.
- When notes with indented checklists are viewed in older versions of Keep It, the checklists will be shown unindented. Editing a note with indented checklists on an older version of Keep It will remove the indentation.
- Checklists will be imported when shared to Keep It from Apple Notes, but unlike on Mac, Notes doesn’t currently include the indents for its own checklists on iPad and iPhone.
- Indented checklists will be exported as rich text and in Markdown format for plain text.
- Checkmarks now use a new design.
Notes & Rich Text
- Choose a custom highlight color for notes and rich text documents by tapping and holding on the highlight button. The custom color will be stored in iCloud.
- On iOS 18 highlight colors will be converted to and from their closest RTF equivalents when importing from or exporting to rich text, and when copying and pasting.
- Swipe to increase or decrease the indent of text when not editing.
Markdown
- The default editor style now uses Keep It’s tint color for headings.
- When “Additional Marked Text Syntax” is enabled in the Preview section of Markdown settings, Highland-style highlights enclosed in plus signs will now also be converted.
PDFs
- Choose a custom highlight color by tapping and holding on the highlight button. The custom color will be stored in iCloud.
- PDFs that require a user or owner password to perform certain operations can now be unlocked by choosing PDF > Unlock With password from the menu.
Web Links
- When saving a link to a post on X, the post will now be saved as an embed.
- Improvements generating thumbnails for web pages.
Search
- When searching by content, the first highlighted term will now be scrolled into view in notes, editable text documents, Markdown previews, mail messages and saved web pages.
- The first search term will now be used in the find view for notes, editable text documents, PDFs, Markdown previews, mail messages and saved web pages.
General
- Choose Keep It folders as persisted locations in other apps.
- Updated app icon, with tinted and Dark Mode versions available on iOS 18.
- Keep It Mobile 2.5 requires iOS 17 or later.
