Questions & Answers
Can Keep It use file syncing services, such as Dropbox or One Drive?
No. Keep It cannot be used with any file syncing service, not even iCloud Drive. Instead, Keep It uses iCloud directly and makes all of its files available in the Finder on Mac and Files app on iOS.
Can Keep It have multiple libraries?
No, Keep It only has a single library, but you can use its folder features to achieve a similar thing. When a folder is selected, you will see everything that folder contains. When that folder has subfolders, you can focus on the folder to reduce the sidebar to only that folder and its children:
- Double-click any expandable folder to focus on it
- Click the (x) button next to the folder to stop focusing
Why do I see extensions on names for notes or other files that I create in Keep It?
Keep It hides extensions by default, but reflects what is seen in the Finder, so this probably means you've enabled the Finder setting to show all file extensions. To change that:
- Quit Keep It
- In the Finder, choose Finder > Settings from the main menu
- Click Advanced
- Uncheck "Show all filename extensions"
Open Keep It again, and within a few moments the names will change to match the Finder.

If you're experiencing problems or can’t find an answer here or in the Help files, please request support from within the app:
- Choose Help > Keep It Support from the menu
- Click Get In Touch
If you are using Apple Mail, that will attach log files that can be very useful for diagnosing all kinds of problems. If not, you can attach the files as follows:

- Attach the Logs.zip file to the email
If you are unable to send a support request from within the app, you can also email — remembering to attach the log files, as shown above.
