Search
- Keep It can now recognize printed text in images, and scanned PDFs that have not had OCR performed on them.
- Choose whether to perform text recognition on items, and the language or script to use in Library Settings.
- Find movies, videos, audio and image files generically, rather than only by a specific type (e.g. PNG image).
Web Links
- It’s now possible to save web links as web archives. Set the default in Keep It’s Settings.
- Specify a format for saving a web link both in the app or Share extension, this will override the default.
- The preferred format for saved web links is now synced via iCloud, if in use.
Share Extension
- When adding text using the Share extension and the default stationery is an editable text format, a new item will be created from the stationery.
- Save web links to new or existing notes or editable text items in the Share extension.
- Attach files to new or existing notes or supported editable text items in the Share extension.
- Up to five recent lists or items will be shown when selecting destination lists or items in the Share extension.
- Show the Comments field in the Share extension for links or files – enable this in Keep It’s Settings.
Notes
- Show attached images at a smaller size by choosing Show Small Images from the text menu.
- Checklists are now converted into lists when copied to other apps or notes exported as RTF/RTFD.
- Insert a divider (horizontal line) using the text menu.
Notes & Rich Text Documents
- See a zoomable preview for an attachment by tapping on the attachment and choosing Show Preview.
All Editable Text Files
- Insert the date or time using the text menu while editing any note, rich text, Markdown or plain text file.
- Choose the formatting style for the date and time in Settings.
Plain Text Files
- Change the font used for plain text files by tapping the action button and then Settings.
- The plain text font is now synced via iCloud, if in use.
Markdown Files
- Change the base font for the editor in Markdown Settings (the font can still be overridden by the font in the current stylesheet, if specified).
PDFs
- Strikethrough and underline selected text in PDFs using the menu.
- Rotate selected pages left or right using the menu.
- Remove the selected page using the menu.
Shortcuts
- Use the “Add Note from Clipboard” shortcut to create a new note from the contents of the clipboard. If the default stationery is an editable text file format, an item in that format will be created instead, if it supports the clipboard content.
- Use the “Add Web Link from Clipboard” shortcut to create a new note from the contents of the clipboard. The default settings will be used for whether or not to save for offline, and the format to use if so.
- When pasting into an editable text item, Keep It will donate a Siri shortcut to do that again.
X-Callback-URLs
- A “format” parameter can now be specified when adding web links. Either “pdf” or “webarchive” is supported. Ignored if the link is not to be saved offline.
- A “comments” parameter can now be specified when adding any kind of item.
General
- Names will now wrap up to two lines in both the list and thumbnails views.
- See all current activity by tapping on the toolbar or status message below the Lists or items view.
- Stop sharing items or lists you own that have no other participants by tapping the Add People button, then Stop Sharing.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where a single file’s extension would not be hidden when imported via the Share extension or Import view and the name was changed to not include an extension.
- Fixed an issue where it would not be possible to download a full library with shared items or folders from iCloud.
